Wild Zone devised a landscaping plan on the soil landfill area in Kolmenkulma, Tampere. The incoming excess soil materials are utilized in the landscaping, for example as seedbeds. We began implementing the plan in 2020 in cooperation with the City of Tampere. In the early phases of the landscaping process we have sown local native plants on a noise barrier slope, on a seedbed made out of street gravel. The gravel has been collected from the streets of Tampere. The goal is to grow aesthetic and easily manageable native vegetation which also adds to the biodiversity of the noise barrier.
