Myllysaari meadow is located on top of bedrock, on a railway slope in Tampella, Tampere. Wild Zone has managed the Myllysaari meadow since 2015 and has engaged the citizens of the area in the management as well. The meadow is home to, for example, Viscaria vulgaris, Centaurea jacea, Trifolium aureum, Lotus corniculatus, and Echium vulgare.
We have organized scything bees yearly, and they have been open to all Tampere citizens. The bees have been organized in cooperation with Luonto-Liitto, the City of Tampere, Liikennevirasto, As Oy Koskenparras, As Oy Koskenniska, and Viola-Koti.
